Paul encouraged Thessalonian Christians to shun laziness and be diligent. The apostle said
“For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread. But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good” (2 Thessalonians 3:11-13).
Lesson:
Christianity does not promote laziness, but it encourages people to be diligent in their works. God is always joyous to see that his children are responsible for their families and society. The Creator will bless and honor people that portray a good example of diligence for other people to follow.
Prayer:
Dear God, please give me the grace to be a diligent Christian who is dedicated to good works, and also responsible for family and society. Bless my positive efforts and reward my labors with fruitfulness. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
