April 24 – We Must Confess Good

repent

Paul rose above the challenges of shipwreck and turbulence, and he encouraged others to follow in his footsteps. Paul encouraged others to eat food after 14 days of their sailing crisis. He openly ate his meal as reported,

“And as day was about to dawn, Paul implored them all to take food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day you have waited and continued without food, and eaten nothing. Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you.” And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat” (Acts 27:33-35).

Lesson:

Children of God are expected to make positive confessions at all times; however, we sometimes face tough situations that may tempt us to act otherwise. Believers should not fall for temptations and deny their insurmountable faith in God. We must not cease making positive confessions with expectations. Our heavenly Father will not withdraw his promises from us but fulfill them.

Prayer:

Dear God, please teach me how to have faith and make positive confessions during adversity. I know that you are ever faithful, and you will keep your promises over me. Please help me to keep trusting you until all my expectations are met. Let your songs of victory ever be in my mouth. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
