King David expressed a strong passion for God, and he also asked the Creator to honor him for his sworn allegiance. David stated,
“Lord, remember David And all his afflictions; How he swore to the Lord And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: “Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, Or go up to the comfort of my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob” ( Psalm 132:1-5).
Lesson:
God appreciates people that honor him with honesty. He smells the dedicated services that people offer to him as a sweet aroma. Meanwhile, the Creator will turn honest services that people offer him into blessings. He will bless his faithful children and make them experience joy and victory. Therefore, all people are encouraged to serve the living God and yield their complete lives unto him.
Prayer:
Dear God, please help me to dedicate my complete life unto you, and let me serve you with honesty. Enable me to satisfy you with everything I have, and let me be counted worthy to receive your blessings on earth and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
