November 2 – Do Not Give Up During Trials

hope

God’s servants are sometimes misunderstood, abused, and judged; however, The Creator will reward any servant that gives all it takes to remain faithful unto the end. Paul, a servant of God, shared his experience of worldly abuse and his loyal commitment to God. Paul stated,

“For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now” (1 Cor. 4:9-13).

Lesson:

God’s servants often face criticisms of others; they are persecuted and subjected to harsh criticisms. However, Jehovah will reward his servants that remain unwavering during trials. He will assist them on earth, and honor them in heaven also. Therefore, everyone who serves God in any capacity must understand that his or her efforts are not in vain. People who suffer persecution and remain committed to God will enjoy his benefits! The Creator will glorify his name in their lives so that all people (including unbelievers) might witness his demonstrative power, grace, and salvation.

Prayer:

Dear God, I ask you to please make me a faithful servant who will remain loyal to you always. I also pray for your other servants throughout the world. Please give everyone courage and strength to serve you well. Empower us to consider serving you our prime goal. Let your servants’ efforts bear fruits for your kingdom; let our various efforts lead to the salvation of souls, so that devil can be ashamed and your name be praised. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
