Paul harshly rebuked Galatians and said,
“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?” (Galatians 3:1).
Lesson:
All people must understand the true meaning of Christianity and abide by it. The gospel of Jesus Christ is free, and everyone must obtain it to be saved. The Galatia Christians found it difficult to accept the fact since they were accustomed to associating any success with human efforts. However, Paul chastised the Galatians to understand the true meaning of Christianity and abide by it. Paul emphasized, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:26-29).
Prayer:
Dear God, please help me to understand the fact that salvation is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Help me to live the rest of my life celebrating the free gift of salvation that I have received. Please keep me in the joy of salvation, and I will serve you for the rest of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
