October 5 – Growing In Faith

Paul was proud to commend the Thessalonians for their dedicated efforts to serve the living God. He said,

“We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure” (2 Thessalonians 1:3-4).

Lesson:

Children of God are expected to grow in the Lord. The strength of our growth is attached to the dedicated services that we offer to God. Also, we must consistently study God’s word and pray to God so that we can have good soil to be watered by God for our spiritual growth.

Prayer:

Dear God, I want you to be proud of me as a diligent Christian. Please help me to do my due diligence by faithfully serving you, and by consistently studying scriptures. Also, help me to maintain a stable relationship with you through prayers. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
