Paul explained the person of Jesus Christ and his remarkable strength that became our blessing. Paul said,
“He (God) has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (Jesus Christ), in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:13-18).
Lesson:
The invisible God has made all things about him visible through his Son Jesus Christ; hence, it becomes simple for anyone to understand God’s attributes. Jesus Christ is the clear mirror of God; through him, all humanity will receive forgiveness of their sins. Also, through Jesus Christ, all people will have access to God. (Jesus Christ is the gift of eternal life for everyone who chooses to believe in him). It is important that everyone establish a good relationship with him, and confess him as Lord and Savior.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, I know who you are, and I understand your status. You are the Christ – the Savior of the world. I confess you as Lord and I accept you as my personal Savior. I give you my complete life, and I promise to faithfully serve you for the rest of my life. Please keep my name in the book of life, so that I can receive the gift of eternal life in heaven. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
