The word of God keeps our feet from slipping; it helps us to maintain grip and remain consistent with God. A psalmist explained the importance of God’s word and said,
“How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to your word. With my whole heart I have sought you; oh, let me not wander from your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you” (Psalm 119:9-11).
Lesson:
The scripture is the word of God, and it is essential for godly living. People who explore God’s word will prosper on earth and in heaven. Those who study their bible will be enlightened unto righteousness, and they will not fail God during trials. Hence, all children of God are encouraged to daily meditate in the word of God and apply every lesson learned into their lives.
Prayer:
Dear God, I want to be wise and I want to obey your commandments; therefore, I ask that you please give me the ability to daily study your word. Help me to appropriately apply your word into every area of my life, so that I can have all-around success. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
