The fear of God brings tremendous blessings into Christians’ lives. The scripture stated,
“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house, your children like olive plants all around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord” (Psalm 128:1-4).
Lesson:
Children of God must have God’s fear in their hearts. In fact, what characterizes someone as a good Christian can be quantified by the amount of God’s fear that he or she applies. Also, what determines how much anyone can prosper on earth has much to do with the magnitude of God’s fear that he/she applies to situations. God will bless a person that makes conscious efforts to satisfy his desires. The Creator will ensure that people who commit their daily lives to serving him with godliness will not regret their actions – under whatever condition.
Prayer:
Dear God, please teach me how to love and fear you always. Let me apply your fear to whatever I do so that I can prosper. Assist me to overcome temptations, and energize me to do works of righteousness, so that I can enjoy your benefits throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
