The chronological order of descendants of Ephraim was described; no one had special attention than the family of Asher. As it was recorded
“All these were the children of Asher, heads of their fathers’ houses, choice men, mighty men of valor, chief leaders. And they were recorded by genealogies among the army fit for battle; their number was twenty-six thousand” (1 Chronicle 7:40).
Lesson:
God’s love for the descendants of Jacob was undoubtedly great. However, special attention was given to some descendants more than others. Those who received special attention were the tribes that took extra steps to make God happy. God blessed them specially, and he made their success distinctly stand out among others. Therefore, we children of God must understand that we need to demonstrate extra efforts to make God happy if we really want to be exceptionally great.
Prayer:
Dear God, I have been challenged to realize that my extra efforts will call for your special attention. Therefore, I ask that you give me the grace to serve you better. Help me to make you happy by adding more efforts to my Christian services, so that I can be exceptionally blessed in this life, and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
