November 17 – The High Priest

priest

God’s priests are people of a high standard that play honorable roles on behalf of God in people’s lives. All God’s priests should be respected, but there is one priest that is greater than every other priest in rank. His name is Jesus Christ; through him, people receive remission of their sins, and they obtain permanent solutions to their problems. The scripture analyzed,

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:14-16).

Lesson:

Jesus Christ is the most high priest of all time. His priesthood roles are greater than any other. He offered himself as the sacrificial lamb for our sins; he pleaded for our sins and reconciled us back to God. (Indeed our sins have turned us to a fugitive, but Christ reconciled us back to God). Christ did not only work on the redemption of our souls, he also took the responsibility of establishing new earth and new heaven to host us after the present one stops existing. Since Jesus Christ owns all it takes to live a complete and fulfilling life now and in the future, all people should consider accepting his salvation invitation. Everyone should confess him as God’s only Son sent to save the world (John 3:16). Everyone must confess Jesus Christ as Lord in order to be saved!

Prayer:

Dear Jesus Christ, I know that you are the most high priest of God who can best reconcile anyone to God. You sacrificed your life for humanity so that they can be saved. I believe that you are the Savior of the world, and I personally confess you as my Lord and Savior. I yield my complete life to you today, and I will continue to serve you throughout the days of my life. Please give me all it takes to faithfully serve you unto the end. For in your name Jesus Christ I make my confession of salvation. Amen.
