May 28 – The Greatness Of God’s Power For Us
King David understood God well, and he was able to enjoy his benefits during his lifetime. David describe God and said,
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes” (Psalm 19:7-8).
Lesson:
God is great in power and his rule will last eternally. Jehovah owns the universe, and he has the power to control all things to his satisfaction; therefore, anyone who chooses to be God’s friend will live to enjoy his benefits. However, people who rebel against God will receive their punishments in hellfire.
Prayer:
Dear God, I understand that you will bless your friends in heaven but punish your enemies in hell; therefore, I want to be your friend. Please guide my thoughts and actions so that I can always be fit to receive your benefits. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
