There shall be mix-reaction on the Lord’s Day of Judgment. Some people will have an opportunity to dine and wine with God while others are condemned in hellfire. John relayed his God-given revelation and said,
“Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God” (Revelation 14:1-5).
However, people who followed the antichrist and receive the mark of the beast would be cast into hell fire. The scripture stated, “And another angel followed, saying,
“Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name” (Revelation 14:8-11).
Lesson:
People who faithfully serve God on earth will live to enjoy their benefits in heaven. Those who have rejected the testimony of Jesus Christ and have refused to confess him as their personal Lord and Savior will spend their eternity in hellfire. God has made his irreversible decision about heaven and hell since the inception. He will not change his mind. However, humans have a choice to change their minds and repent from their evil, so that they can escape the punishment of hellfire and qualify for heaven. Heaven is real, and Hell is real also. Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven and the only escape route from hell.
The scripture attested,
“If you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved from the punishment of sin. When we believe in our hearts, we are made right with God. We tell with our mouth how we were saved from the punishment of sin” (Romans 10:9-10).
Therefore, since Jesus Christ is the only sure way to heaven, everyone must confess him as his/her personal Lord and Savior.
Prayer:
Dear God, please I desire heaven and I hate hell. I understand that no one will enter heaven without confessing Jesus Christ as Lord. Therefore, I confess him as my personal Lord and Savior. I believe he died for my sins on the cross and resurrected from the grave to earn me eternal life. Please forgive my sins and wash me clean! Write my name in the book of life and keep me ever worthy for your eternal kingdom. For in the precious name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
