Paul (a gospel minister held as a prisoner) alongside others suffered a shipwreck. None would have survived the accident due to its severity, but God spared them all – since his servant was involved. Paul described the encounter he had with God on the ship in order to assure other prisoners of God’s safety. Paul said,
“And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you’” (Acts 27:22-24).
Lesson:
Any situation that appears as a tempest wind cannot endure long in believers’ lives, it will subside. Challenges may come, but they will soon vanish. No situation is difficult for God, he will overcome them all. Jehovah has control over air, land, and sea. All situations listen to him, and they submit to his authority. Since Christians are God’s apple eyes, we can be guaranteed of safety and victory at all times. Therefore, we believers must be full of faith and assurance that God will glorify himself in our lives at all times.
Prayer:
Dear God, I understand that I am not alone, but you are with me. You will help me overcome all my challenges, and you will give me victory. Please, give me faith and make me strong to live a victorious life throughout the days of my life. Let me raise my head above waters, and let my mouth be full of victory songs. Please do these things and many more. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
