God’s words are instant and exact; they must be accurately interpreted to perform their intended purposes in believers’ lives; therefore, Christians must ensure to only relate with (or listen to) gospel ministers who share facts of the scriptures. Bible can neither be over-simplified nor under-simplified; it must be simple, exact, and purposeful to glorify God and bless people. It is written,
“If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself” (1 Timothy 6:3-5).
Lesson:
A serious Christian is expected to celebrate the truth of the scripture. He/she is expected to adequately interpret scripture without rationalization! A good Christian must understand and celebrate God’s view of charity, morality, and holiness. More importantly, a good Christian should know how to select a godly spiritual leader! No serious Christian should settle for a callous spiritual leader who waters down the scripture! A good Christian should not follow the multitude to practice whatever society dictates for him/her. A good Christian should personally study the scripture on a consistent basis to ensure that he/she is doing what is right in the presence of God. To cap it all, a good Christian must be prayerful and be full of the Holy Spirit to have a clear understanding of the scripture and to adequately satisfy the will of God. Jehovah will honor faithful Christians in this life, and in heaven also.
Prayer:
Dear God, please make me a serious Christian who serves you wholeheartedly. Give me the grace to only celebrate whatever makes you happy! Do not let me follow the multitude to do evil, but let me live a life of integrity that is worthy of your blessing. Help me to be sensitive to any teaching that I receive, and empower me through your Holy Spirit to only celebrate your approved righteous standard. Please let my walk with you be pure, so that I can inherit your eternal kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
