Servants of God are to be firm with their bible interpretations. They must call a spade a spade, and ensure the truth is told from the altar. Whether convenient or not, God’s servants must tell the truth so that people can know what God requires from them. God warned Prophet Ezekiel of the danger looming over him and his people if he refused to speak God’s mind appropriately. God warned Ezekiel and said,
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. “Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul” (Ezekiel 3:17-21).
God’s servants are his treasured instruments, and he expects nothing but discipline from them. God holds his servants with high esteem; they must appropriately speak his mind and ensure to save guide people from pitfalls. God’s servants are not allowed to serve God at will, but they are mandated to meet God’s standard at all times! Honor belongs to a servant who does his/her job well, but God’s punishments loom over a servant who fails his Master! Since the Creator is counting on his servants to represent him well, they should not hesitate to honorably carry out their due diligence. By so doing, the heavy rod of punishments will be averted, and huge positive rewards will be obtained (by God’s servants, and their people). Congratulations to those servants who faithfully serve God, for their rewards will be obtained on earth, and in heaven!
Dear God, please make me a true and thorough servant who will faithfully serve you. Let me be consistent with your word, and let me serve you wholeheartedly. Give me the strength to speak the truth at all times – whether convenient or not. Let my speech and deed glorify you so that other people can be motivated to serve you also. Please anoint me with fresh ointment to faithfully serve you unto the end! At the same time, I pray for all your ministers throughout the world: Please give them the strength to faithfully serve you. Let your ministers lead by example so that your name can be glorified among their people. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
