Scripture required God’s children to walk with dignity and honor. We are to practice plain Christianity and avoid irrelevant arguments that have little or no contribution to our spiritual growth. The scripture stated,
“Avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned” (Titus 3:9-11).
Lesson:
Followers of Jesus Christ are to resemble Jesus Christ. Believers must have discipline and demonstrate honorable posture since God himself has discipline. Our speech and actions must prove that Christ indeed dwells in us. Our lives must be consistent with the bible, and we must be firm to uphold God’s standard of righteousness. We Christians must be consistent with our professions of faith! Heaven requires that we avoid unnecessary arguments, but celebrate sound bible doctrines. However, followers of Jesus Christ must understand the importance of demonstrating Christianity with grace! Believers must operate in love and grace; we must be loving, and we must accommodate other people (without compromising bible standards). God expects his children to glorify his name in every aspect of their lives, and we must do so!
Prayer:
Dear God, please let my life be consistent with your standard. Help me to practice true Christianity so that your name can be glorified in all situations! Empower me through your Holy Spirit to walk in righteousness. Let my yea be yea, and my nay be nay – according to bible standard. Please shine your light into my life, and enable me to extend the same light to other people. Please make me your true ambassador on earth, so that I will be qualified for your heavenly rewards. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
