God hates wickedness, and he mandated wicked people to repent from their evil ways. Jehovah will bless those who repent, but the end game will be rough and tough for wicked people who persist in evil. God said,
“Woe to those who devise iniquity, and work out evil on their beds! At morning light they practice it because it is in the power of their hand. They covet fields and take them by violence, Also houses, and seize them So they oppress a man and his house, A man and his inheritance” (Micah 2:1-2).
Lesson:
God does not walk in the same direction as wicked people. He hates wickedness! People who oppress others and abuse their positions will remain at the mercy of God’s judgment unless they repent. As far as wickedness is concerned, repentance should be the only option. Since Jehovah knows all things and sees all things, he will exert his righteous judgment on wicked people in due time. However, some pleasant actions that God desires – which will incur blessings – include fairness, justice, and compassion. Anyone who expects God’s blessing should care for others and treat them with respect. Also, the fellow must be in right standing with God.
Prayer:
Dear God, please help me to treat other people with fairness and respect. Do not let me be obsessed with any position or power that I may have, but help me to be an agent of positive influence. Please forgive my past sins, and restore me in your love. Empower me to have compassion and demonstrate your grace on others so that your name can be glorified in every situation. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
