Jesus Christ admonished the Pharisees to shun their religious dogmas and become true children of God. While the Pharisees criticized Jesus for preaching the gospel to the sinners, the Messiah corrected them with an analytical illustration and said,
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:4-7).
Lesson:
A man may segregate but God does not segregate. The Creator loves all people equally, and he opens his hands widely to receive and convert sinners so that they can come into his kingdom. The heavenly Father is always happy to see a sinner repents from his or her sins. In fact, the scripture stated that all angels rejoice over a single sinner who repents and turns to Jesus Christ (Luke 15:7,10).
Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, please save the unbelievers. Let them realize and accept the fact that you are the Son of God who has already died for their sins, and enables them to yield their lives unto you. Let them accept you as their personal Lord and Savior so that they can prosper on earth and in heaven. I also pray that you destroy all Satan’s works in believers’ lives so that they can remain focus on you unto the end. When the end comes, let all your saints be welcome to heaven to rejoice in your presence – forever! Amen.
