Jesus Christ compared his second coming to Noah’s time: All things appeared to be going smoothly; therefore people paid less attention to God’s warning of repentance and obedience. Unfortunately, God had to destroy all people – except Noah’s family. Flood overtook the earth, and all people died! Jesus said,
“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).
Lesson:
Jesus Christ will return to earth when people least expect; he will rapture his saints to heaven, but he will condemn the unbelievers to hell fire. The-left-behind people would be made to exist at the mercy of Satan (The most wicked creature!) Satan – who is also known as the devil – would torment sinners in hell. However, at the same time, the raptured believers would remain with Christ in heaven to enjoy everlasting peace and merriments. Therefore, all people are encouraged to declare their faith in Jesus Christ – so that they can be raptured.
Jesus Christ is the only deity who is worthy to advocate for sinners on God’s Last Day of Judgment! Christ who has died for sinners will advocate for people who believe in him, and he will exonerate them from the punishment of hell. The Savior will declare his saints “Justified.” However, he will disqualify unbelievers from entering heaven.
Prayer of Salvation:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I want to go to heaven – I do not want to go to hell fire. Therefore, I surrender my life to you today. I confess you as Lord, and I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I declare that as from today, I will faithfully serve you, and I will follow you for the rest of my life. Since I have prayed, I declare myself a child of God; my name is written in the book of life, and heaven is my final destination. Praise God!
