April 18 – Worthy Of Heaven

faith

Paul was persecuted by the authority for his role in gospel expansion, and for his self-discipline. Political leaders like Governor Festus and Governor Felix would not exercise justice for corruption reasons. Therefore, Paul remained a victim of perverse judgment. He was being shoveled around in a chain to face the same challenge of an imbalanced judicial system. The scripture reported,

“…But Festus, wanting to do the Jews a favor, answered Paul and said, “Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and there be judged before me concerning these things?” So Paul said, “I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you very well know” (Acts 25: 9-10).

Lesson:

Christians live with other people in an imperfect world. Government leaders are corrupt, and citizens suffer. However, Christians will not face horrific experience eternally. We will have a better experience in the new earth and new heaven that God will create (Revelation 21:1-5). Wicked people will not share a part in the new heaven and new earth; their place will be in hell. It is therefore important that all people – both in government and society – relate with Jesus Christ and accept him as Lord so that they can qualify for the perfect earth and heaven to come.

Prayer:

Dear God, I truly understand that the present world is corrupt, and a new earth and new heaven will soon come. I want to partake in them. Therefore, I repent from my sins and accept your Son Jesus Christ as my Lord. Please qualify me for your kingdom, and help me to remain fit through the help of your Holy Spirit. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
