God will not cast off people who have rebelled against him, but he will show them mercy and grant them the grace of salvation. God stated through Prophet Hosea, “I will call them my people, who were not my people, and her beloved, who was not beloved.” “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ There they shall be called sons of the living God” (Romans 9:25-26).
Lesson:
People who have distanced themselves from salvation still enjoys the grace of Jesus Christ and have a chance of getting saved. God will patiently wait for unbelievers to exercise, a change of heart so that he can save them. However, the door of salvation will not be indefinitely open for sinners, but it will be shut at God’s appointed time. Once the last trumpet blasts, unbelievers will be hurled into hell fire while believers are sent to heaven (Revelation 20:8). Therefore, since “faith in Jesus Christ” remains the only formidable access to God’s kingdom, all people must exercise it. Everyone must confess Jesus Christ as Lord and accept him as his or her personal Savior to be saved.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus Christ, I understand that there is no other way through which a person can be saved other than you. Therefore, I confess you as my Lord and personal Savior. I believe you are the Son of God who was sent to save sinners. I confess my sins to you, and I repent from them. I will serve you from now on, and forever! Please write my name in your book of life, and count me worthy of your kingdom. I believe I am now saved through faith since I have confessed you as my Lord. Glory to God. Amen.
