God’s supernatural power can be reckoned with by accessing how he created the human race. God first made Adam; then he made Eve. The couple gave birth to Cain, Abel, and Seth. Abel and Seth also gave birth to some children. The procreation process continues and the world population grows. The scripture traced the generation of mankind to the first man and first woman that God created – Adam and Eve. It is written, “Adam, Sheth, Enosh, Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered, Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth…” (1 Chronicles 1:1-4).
Lesson:
God created the universe with his extraordinary power. He created humans and placed on earth to show the beauty of his work. Out of all the countless various species of creatures that God made, he paid no special attention to anyone other than the humans! God created us in his image and also gave us the power to have dominion over other creatures that he made.
God of the universe created all things and gave humans an opportunity to dominate them all. God gave humans control over all other creatures. Both the terrestrial and aquatic creatures submit to our commands. Humans can flex muscle as we like over the animals, the birds, and the plants. Meanwhile, the mere fact that God has given humans much authority does not make us become his contemporaries. God will remain God and humans will remain humans! God will remain the supreme authority that every creature must serve. Humans must honor God and serve him faithfully. We must be grateful to God for all his benefits in our lives.
Lesson:
Humans should daily praise God and obey his laws. More importantly, humans should reckon with the Son of God – Jesus Christ that he has sent to save the world from their sins. We ought to confess Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior to appreciate God for his benefits and also to receive an opportunity to inherit his eternal kingdom – Heaven.
Prayer:
Dear God, I thank you for creating me in your image. I also thank you for giving me the opportunity to have the dominion over all other creatures. I want to be grateful to you; therefore, I confess your Son Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Henceforth, I will live the rest of my life serving Jesus Christ and follow his teachings (through Bible study) so that I can remain qualified for your eternal kingdom. Please give me the grace to faithfully serve you unto to the end! For in the name of Jesus Christ I made my request! Amen.
