March 31 – God Hates Sin

God reminded Israelites that there would be punishments to be awarded for their sins unless they repent. Meanwhile, the Creator promised to avert evil from his children if they exercise a change of mind and pursue righteousness. God said,

“Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you” (Hosea 10:12).

Lesson:

There are God’s punishments to apply for human sinful actions. His righteous standard would grant positive rewards for people who pursue righteousness and faithfully serve him. However, God will pursue and overtake wicked people; he will overpower them and consume them with his judgment. The Creator desires that all people repent from their wickedness so that he can bless and award them with his immeasurable peace and prosperity.

Prayer:

Dear God, I know that you have established a standard to prosper righteous people and surfer wicked people. Therefore, I want to be your righteous child sot that I can prosper. Please empower me to repent from my sins, and let me faithfully serve you so that I can enjoy your blessing here on earth and in heaven also. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
