August 3 – Give God Quality Praises

Daily Bible Life

Christians must be creative with their mode of worship. Believers must praise God with the use of a different musical instrument. We must not offer God “casual” praise; rather, we must make heartfelt praise to bring God optimum satisfaction. One psalmist in the Bible challenged people to explore some creative art to praise God. The man said, “Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:1-6).

Lesson:

God loves to receive the praises of his people! The Creator does not eat any physical food and he does not use any physical material that may be presented in his honor. However, God “eats” praises! He receives optimum satisfaction from heartfelt praise that his children present to him.

God appreciates quality praise and worship; therefore, believers must make it a priority to always offer him our best. Christians must make it a practice to let our songs and other forms of worship come from genuine hearts so God can accept them. Jehovah will honor our quality praises and reciprocate his blessing to our lives. The Creator will bless us beyond measure as we continue to honor him with our quality praise and worship.

Prayer:

Dear God, please give me the ability to always bring you sincere praise and worship. Indeed, you deserve my quality praises! The magnitude of your benefits in my life is humongous! You were there for me when no one else does! You brought me from a miry clay and set my feet upon the rock! You have given me a new song to sing and you have also decorated my life with many other benefits. So, why should I not praise you? I will praise you at all times. I will praise you in the morning; I will praise you in the afternoon, and I will praise you at night. I will also testify about your goodness to other people so that they can know how great you are. Please, what I’m asking for is “Grace!” Give me the grace to keep praising you throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
