May 24 – Exhibit Faith For Blessing

Daily Bible Life

Some enemy nations surrounded the land of Judah with a mission to loot and kill its dwellers. The enemies were numerous, and the scene appeared horrific for Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah. However, the man summoned courage to preserve his trust in God. King Jehoshaphat prayed as the scripture reported, “O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12).

God responded to King Jehoshaphat’s prayer with a promise to deliver him. The king believed the promise and took a rare decision to start praising God immediately.

King Jehoshaphat demonstrated faith in God by organizing a special worship session to honor God for his victory promise. \*Trust action\* led to testimony. God was moved when Jehoshaphat praised him during his difficult moment.

God acted in an unprecedented manner to deliver Jehoshaphat and his people from their enemies. The bible, reported, “Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another” (2 Chronicles 20:22-23).

Lesson:

God fights for his own people, and he will not allow their enemies to rejoice over them. Do not doubt that Jehovah will go any length to defend his own people. God’s action against the wicked people may be severe; it may cause them more damage than they had thought.

Jehovah will fight whoever allowed Satan to use him/her against believers. Anyone who aims at attacking God’s children should think twice before implementing his/her action. There are dire consequences for anyone who attacks a child of God!

Believers who reserve their trust in God during difficult moments will soon laugh and share testimonials of victory, since the Creator has guaranteed them protection. The Creator will do whatever is necessary to protect his children.

Prayer:

Dear God, I am privileged to be your child! I realized that I am your “choice child,” and I am \*an apple of your eyes. \* You will go any extent to protect me and glorify your name. I believe you will give me an upper hand over my adversaries; I shall see my expectations fulfilled on my enemies!

Grace is what I’m asking for now! Please give me grace to remain your true child. Give me grace to keep trusting you! Please help me to live in faith, so that I can enjoy your victory every day of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
