God filled the temple that King Solomon and his people dedicated to His name. The Bible reported that the temple was filled with the Shekinah glory of God, which signified that the Creator was pleased with them. It, thus, reported; “When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord in the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, for His mercy endures forever” (2 Chronicles 7:1-3).
God will endow His glory on the people who dedicate certain articles of value to his name. Those who choose to make God happy with their resources will not regret their decisions. Jehovah will bless them beyond their expectations. However, children of God must understand that the sacrifices of resources to the living God are not limited to money and physical material. The resources that we can offer God, also includes our time and efforts we make to promote his work on earth. Any effort that a child of God dedicates to God will be rewarded in this life and in heaven. Some earthly reward may include; joy, peace, and good health. However, our greatest reward for dedicated services to God will be tremendous in heaven. They will bring us everlasting satisfaction.
Dear God, please teach me how to offer dedicated services to you. I understand that you will bless the people who offer you their honest services, so I want to offer you my best at all times. Please empower me to truly and thoroughly serve you throughout the days of my life. Help make me a pacesetter of your glory on earth and let heaven be my permanent home! For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make my requests. Amen.
