King David was known to be a good musician who composed songs and played musical instruments for the praises of God’s name. However, that was not all about David when it is related to music. He was also, skilled in the supervision of manufacturing musical instruments. In fact, the king referenced his own artistic works and said, “…Four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand praised the Lord with musical instruments, “which I made,” said David, “for giving praise.” (1 Chronicles 23:5).
Lesson:
Our efforts to praise and worship the living God must not be limited! Our praise and worship activities must not have boundaries. Meanwhile, our efforts would be considered insufficient, until creativity is brought into it. We are to skillfully device different means and methods of praising God since the Creator deserves our best! No rule is applied when it turns to praises; We can dance, jump, and shout. We can sit or prostrate during praises. In fact, the Creator is interested in artistic styles of worship. He considers dances and performances pleasant. Hence, We children of God should come out of our shells and offer quality praises to God. Jehovah must be praised for He is the King of kings and Lord of lords! All creations must bow before the Lord of the universe and honor his holy name forever!
Prayer:
I thank you God for you are the Lord of lords and God of gods! I praise you with every breath that I take. Everything within me says “Thank you!” My praises shall ever come to you. I will praise you in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I will shout the praises of your name throughout the earth. All that I ask from you is the grace and strength to continue praising your holy name throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ, I make this special request. Amen.
