SEPTEMBER 11 BIBLE LIFE

Daily Bible Life

God hates wickedness, and he will punish the wicked people – unless they repent. The scripture explained some characteristics of a wicked person, “…He (or she) lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net. So he crouches, he lies low, that the helpless may fall by his strength. He has said in his heart, “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see” (Psalms 10:9-11).

Lesson:

Nemesis will catch up with the wicked people – unless they repent. God will hold them responsible for their actions; he will award them with measurable punishments. Since Jehovah has the autonomous power over all things, he can exercise some harsh punishments on wicked people. The Creator requires sinful people to repent from their sins so that he can forgive them. All people must exercise godly fear to receive God’s benefits. Jehovah will honor God-fearing people and benefit them with all good things of life.

Prayer:

Dear God, please save me from wickedness! Forgive me of my past sins, and empower me to start living a holy life before you. Help me to exercise true love towards other people; help me to also love you genuinely. Let my activities honor you in this life so that I can be blessed beyond measure and also qualify for your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
