Faith is important to God and humans. A person who lacks faith cannot fully enjoy God’s benefits. God also can’t enjoy his relationship with someone that lacks faith. The scripture stated, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” (Hebrews 11:1-3).

Everything that revolves around God is about faith. He operates by faith and also requires his children to do likewise. For example, God who has supernatural power to do whatever he likes only operated by faith during creation time. Besides human that God made out of dust, he created every other thing through his utterances. God called them all into existence! In Genesis Chapter One, we learned that God said, “Let there be light, and there was light.” God also called out every creature into existence, including the plant, animal, sea, etc. God who has confidence in himself to only use faith utterances during creation also wants his children to exercise their faith through him. That is, someone who claims to believe God must also believe in his supernatural power, and profess it! A child of God must be able to say, “I believe that my God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus!” A child of God must also be able to declare, “I know that my redeemer lives, he will solve all my problems and earn me victory!”

There is no limit to the benefits that a child of God can receive through his faith profession. However prior to enjoying God’s limitless benefits through his supernatural power, a person must first confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in his resurrection power.

Dear God, please make me a person of faith! Help me to believe in your power and be able to declare your sovereign authority through faith. Help me, as your child, to declare in faith that all things will work for my benefits. Let my faith turn to my testimony. Please give me every reason to testify to your goodness in the assembly of your people! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
