December 2 BIBLE LIFE

Daily Bible Life

The wonder works of God were evident in the life of David as someone reads his story in the Bible. He was born by poor parents in a small town in Israel. David also did not rank high in the family tree since he was the last born child. In fact, his father did not consider him anybody special as he failed to present him to Prophet Samuel during his special visit. In addition, David, as a grown up man, did not live a comfortable life. He was constantly being pursue by one enemy or the other. Meanwhile despite his humble beginning and life ordeals, David trusted God for his promises. God honored him for the trust. He raised him from his “very lowly” position to become the king of Israel. Bible reported the faithfulness of God on David’s life, “…So David went on and became great, and the Lord of hosts was with him” (1 Chronicles 11:9).

Lesson:

The promises of God will come into fulfillment in the lives of his children. The will of God must come to pass on his children! Why? God never lies, and he does fail! He will fulfill whatever he has promised his children under whatever circumstance. Although a child of God may sometimes face some difficulties, but God will ultimately help him overcome them. It is therefore important that someone who considers himself (or herself) a child of God maintains his confidence in God. He will not fail but fulfill whatever he has promised him.

A person who trust God during a difficult time will have God’s name to be praised in the end. Afteral, the Bible declares, “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us” (Hebrews 6:18 KJV)

Prayer:

Dear God, I understand that you are God of faithfulness who will forever keep your promises on your children. Therefore, I ask that you please give me grace to keep serving and trusting you so that I can enjoy the fulfillment of your promises in my life! As I trust you, please open your door of blessings into my life. Let all things work for my advantage, and enable me with strength to share the testimony of your goodness in the assembly of your people. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
