Wicked people have no place with God, unless they repent. Jehovah promised to punish wicked people. He said, “There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked” (Isaiah 48:22). However, the Creator explained what he considered as acceptable practice from his people. He said, “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go. Oh, that you had heeded my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Your descendants also would have been like the sand, and the offspring of your body like the grains of sand; His name would not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me” (Isaiah 48:17-19).
There is much profits in doing God’s will and obeying his commandments. The efforts will earn us peace and prosperity. In fact, our acts of obedience could be termed as a “Win Win Situation,” since there is nothing to lose in the process. Meanwhile, disobedient acts incur God’s wrath; they create disaster and lead to painful experience. The best thing a person can do on earth to live happily is to faithfully serve God and obey his commandments, since the condition of guaranteed security and blessing is relative to it. All people should consider it “a must” to comply with God’s laws.
Dear God, I submit at your feet to ask for grace to obey your instructions. I repent from my sins, and I promise to make things right with you from today. Please give me grace to faithfully obey your laws, so that I can enjoy your benefits. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
