Christians are required to read our bible and apply any lesson learned into our lives. Believers are charged to appropriately utilize godly teachings into our lives so that we can prosper! The scripture stated, “For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does” (James 1:23-25).
All Christians are called to be students of the bible. No Christian should read or listen to a bible without its proper application to his (or life). A Christian who dilly-dally with the word of God is a baby Christian! God requires us to advance from our elementary stages of Christianity and become matured in faith so that he can commit greater task unto our hands.
A Christian who intends to grow in God must daily pray and study his bible. Also, every Christian must prioritize evangelism. We must preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to other people so that they can be saved. People who serve God must not be complacent with their faith; they must venture to grow in God daily.
Dear God, please increase my faith in you! Help me to be a mature Christian. Enable me to take my Christianity seriously so that I can be worthy of your blessings. In addition, please give me strength to preach your gospel and lead other people so that they can be saved. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
