Daily Bible Life

Paul was surrounded by critics (Pharisees and Sadducees) who intended to fault him on the basis of his faith. However, Paul proved to be more intelligent than his opponents as he challenged them on an existing differences of opinion that relate to resurrection. The Pharisees believed in resurrection but Sadducees did not. Paul – a lawyer turned preacher – demonstrated his skills as the scripture reported, “When Paul perceived that one part (of the opposing sects) were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee; concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am being judged!” And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the assembly was divided. For Sadducees say that there is no resurrection—and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both. Then there arose a loud outcry. And the scribes of the Pharisees’ party arose and protested, saying, “We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God” (Acts 23:6-9).

Christians are not naive, but we are intelligent people that honor God. We have God-given ability to preach gospel wherever we go. We must manifest our skills to motivate people to serve God. The Creator has trained believers to be useful for his kingdom, and he dispersed us into various professions to fulfill the mission.

Christians have skill and strength needed to propagate gospel. Each Christian has at least one special ability he can use to aid gospel! It is therefore important that every believer step out of his or her comfort zone to preach gospel. We must not complain about lack of resources to preach gospel, because we have what it takes to preach!

Christians of different professions must serve God. We must use our expertise to propagate God’s kingdom – Whether anyone is lawyer, doctor, engineer, architect, nurse, pharmacist, journalist, carpenter, mechanic, accountant, housekeeper, janitor, cashier, clerk, secretary, politician, and others. All people must rise up to the task of evangelizing gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. No one must preach gospel with reservation. We must preach gospel to people of various culture and backgrounds. Jehovah will honor us if we make serious effort to preach gospel and expand his kingdom.

Dear God, please make me a useful vessel for you. Give me strength to use my natural ability (my gifts and my talents) to preach your gospel. Use me to lead as many people as possible to your kingdom. I also pray for my fellow believers throughout the world that you grant them courage to keep preaching your gospel. Let brethren keep preaching your gospel so that unbelievers can have opportunity to escape the punishment of hell fire, and qualify for your kingdom. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
