Jesus Christ is the light of the world. He is the savior of the world, and through him shall all people receive forgiveness of their sins and be saved. However, it is important that people who have been saved by Jesus do not abuse their salvation privilege. We must satisfy God with holy living.
The bible states, “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us” (1 John 1:5-10).
All people are to submit to the feet of Jesus Christ and be saved. It is important that Christians relate with God with honesty. We must be faithful to our Master! We must confess our misdeed to God and repent. We must exercise genuine repentance before our Maker.
Also, believers are also called to live humbly before God. We must daily seek him through prayers and praises. We must allow God’s indwelling Holy Spirit to empower us to please God in all ramifications.
No Christian should be arrogant in dealing with God. He will distant himself from us if we are self-righteous! The Creator reserves his eternal benefits for people who are loyal and are humble before him.
Dear God, please keep me honest with you always. Help me to be truthful to you so that I can prosper in all my ways. Let my confession of sins be genuine. Fill me with your Holy Spirit to live an acceptable life before. Please prosper me in all my ways. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
